That sound you hear, is everyone asking, “It took this long?” TV Guide is reporting that sources close to them have heard that former “General Hospital” star, Steve Burton, has signed on to “The Young and the Restless” in a major role.
Apparently, Burton is set to tape soon and will be working again with his longtime friend, Jill Farren Phelps, who is now executive producer at “Y&R.” The duo are also set to work together on a telenovela project.
While the news may not be shocking to many, we certainly were not expecting it to hit so soon after his “GH” exit. Not only was Burton wanting to relocate, Phelps also made mention in a TV Guide interview with Michael Logan that she would not bring on “Friends of Jills” right away.

Except she had already brought on not one but two of the people who starred in her show, Hollywood Heights,as recasts almost immediately after taking over at Y & R.

I thought he left to go to nashville with his family I want to see him with Sam on GH no where else….

So he essentially lied about why he was leaving GH? If this is true it is a slap in the face to the GH fans that agonized over him leaving!!!!
