Tonight’s episode brings us to where we first started the season…what happened on the Amanda. Fauxmanda and Jack are celebrating their honeymoon bliss, unaware that Nate is spying on them on boat.
It’s funny to see how the Graysons are acting as if nothing happened, even though Victoria murdered Helen. Conrad and Victoria are even suggesting putting the blame on Fauxmanda as she has the goods to bring them both to their knees. Conrad tells Ashley to find a way to stop her.
Nolan, Emily, and Aiden are all having a video chat, and Aiden suggests using Padma as a way to find out more details on the Initiative. Ashley makes a sudden impromptu visit to Emily’s place, and informs her that Fauxmanda showed video that could incriminate Conrad. Emily suddenly realizes that Fauxmanda stole her laptop. I told you Emily will go diva when she learned the truth.
Jack notices something strange onboard the Amanda. He noticed a pack of cigarettes, but gets an even bigger surprise. Nate is holding Fauxmanda at gunpoint!!!
Emily runs into Charlotte at the Stowaway, and Charlotte leaves the room. Emily takes a look at the laptop, and saw a picture of Fauxmanda and Jack on the boat…with Nate spying on them. Emily runs to Nolan, and he informs her that Nate Ryan is very dangerous. The two get a boat to head after them.
Victoria and Daniel certainly can put on a show, can’t they? At Grayson Global, mom and son put on an act for the Initiative to make it seem that Helen was still alive. Now, remember, the two were both made aware that there was a camera put in Daniel’s office. We find out later there was indeed someone watching the drama unfold.
Emily and Nolan are hot on the pursuit of Jack, Fauxmanda and Nate. While Padma arrives at the Stowaway to find Nolan, Aiden gets a phone call from him, and tells Padma to trust Aiden as they have a common enemy. While on the Amanda, Jack, and reluctantly Nate, learns that it was Fauxmanda who blackmailed Conrad into having Jack buy back the bar. When Nate confirms the information with Conrad, Fauxmanda tries to shoot Nate, but finds out he took the bullets out of the gun. She then drops a bomb on him….she only married Jack to get revenge on the Graysons as they killed her father. Jack overhears this bombshell, and she proceeds to tell Nate that the laptop is in Montauk
Victoria pays an impromptu visit…ok, so it was not impromptu…to the Stowaway to see Charlotte and invite her to the party they are having at the house. Of course, Charlotte will not go unless Declan is present. Victoria agrees, and as soon as the two kids leave the room, Victoria plants Helen’s cell phone underneath Fauxmanda’s bed.
As Emily and Nolan continue on their search for the trio, Nolan gets a signal from Declan’s laptop on the boat, thanks to Jack. Jack confronts Fauxmanda about her betrayal. Now, if you thought that Victoria and Daniel put on a show, it was their turn at bat! While the two “argued,” they made plans to escape and trap Nate on ship. They managed to get the life rafts into the water and barricaded Nate below. The plan almost worked, except that Nate escaped and shot his way through the doors, and the bullet hit Jack. Fauxmanda did something that I gave so much respect for. She lets Jack go so he can found on the life raft. Nate knocks out Fauxmanda, and saw that Jack is gone.
As Fauxmanda awakens, she notices that she is locked down below and tries to get out. She busts the bottom of the boat, which caused it to flood. Emily and Nolan heard the gunshot while listening/watching it happen on the laptop, and went on the search to find Jack. Nate also tried to find him, but luckily, the two got to Jack first. As they pulled him up, Emily makes Nolan promise to get Jack to a hospital immediately as she goes to take care of Nate and save Fauxmanda.
Nolan: Ems, it’s Jack. You know I will do everything that I can to help him.
At the Grayson party, a man by the name of Trask meets Victoria and Conrad. First thinking he was a reporter, the two suddenly find out he is also an Initiative member wondering the whereabouts of Helen. They both hint at the fact that Amanda Clarke could be behind Helen’s disappearance, which sends Trask on a mission to find out the truth. He finds Fauxmanda’s room with Helen’s cell phone under the bed. Hearing that Padma was the last person to leave a voicemail, Trask believes Helen’s life has been “compromised.”
Nate heads below ship to find Fauxmanda. She sneaks up on him and hits him in the head. I tend to love how she likes to hit people on the head. Just then, Emily arrives, and she and Nate get into a scuffle. During this, the gas tank ruptured, but Fauxmanda got a clear shot and shoots Nate. The two girls are about to jump onto the life raft when Fauxmanda notices the necklace. She goes back to grab it, but sees Nate holding up a lighter! She tells Emily to jump, and the boat explodes!! WHOA!!!
The last segment of the show really brought out the BEST in Emily VanCamp. We see Emily shout out for Fauxmanda, and she finds her. Emily gets the body to the raft, and is soon asked by Fauxmanda to take care of Jack and Carl. Emily soon realizes the severity of Fauxmanda’s injuries, and soon understands that Fauxmanda saved her life from the boat explosion. Emily apologizes to Fauxmanda, but she tells her there is nothing to be sorry for.
Fauxmanda: You gave me something that I always wanted…a real family.
The real Amanda Clarke flashes back to her time in juvenile hall with the real Emily Thorne. Amanda gives Emily the necklace, and she proceeds to hug Amanda, telling her she loves her. In real time, Emily finally tells Fauxmanda she loves her, too, and sends Fauxmanda body down the water. As Emily is grieving for the loss of her friend, Conrad announced that he is running for governor, as Trask sends Padma a present. She learns her father is alive….but at a price of a “finger.”
While the show may not be back until March 10th, the show definitely left us on the edge of our seats this week. The show I fell in love with during season 1 is finally back to where it belongs! From Nolan and Emily working together again, to seeing the Graysons in full combat mode…this is REVENGE!
From the looks of the previews, Emily is back in the driver’s seat, ready to take the Graysons down for all the misery they caused! Take a look below:

Great recap Na’Vell! I missed this episode when it aired live because I was stuck working late at DISH, and my DVR recording was accidentally deleted, but I did finally find the time last night to watch. I watched free on the DISH Anywhere website and was shocked! I had a feeling Nate would die, but I honestly had no idea Fauxmanda would too! It was indeed a sad moment when Emily let her go, but I am happy the incident is bringing back the vengeful Emily I loved in season one!
