Crahan is currently pursuing his latest endeavor, a documentary about eating disorders, and he’s reached out to Slipknot fans and the general public to contribute to the project. Slipknot are currently on a short break, only playing a small handful of European festival dates this summer. During our recent interview with Slipknot singer Corey Taylor , he revealed that Slipknot would likely release their next album in late 2014 / early 2015.

    Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell Recalls Epic Prank War with Van Halen During 1991 Tour

    TinyPic It’s story time with Jerry Cantrell ! In a recent fascinating and hilarious interview, the Alice in Chains mastermind spoke about the essential art of the prank. When two bands have been touring together for some time, pranks are bound to happen, and Cantrell went into detail about an epic prank war between Alice in Chains and Van Halen from 1991. During an interview with Jim Dunlop , Cantrell recalled Alice in Chains and Van Halen constantly one-upping each other during the 1991 tour, which led to onstage pranks involving unattractive strippers, dismantling gear mid-performance, invading the stage dressed only in women’s underwear and more. “A lot of pranks get pulled on stage, it’s kind of a tradition to f— with each other at the end of the tour, especially the opening bands,” describes Cantrell. “I remember the Van Halen guys got us like four times in one set, back in ’91, at the end of that tour.

On Thursday night (June 6), Axl Rose and company rolled (pun intended) into the Brooklyn Bowl and scored big with the fans who were lucky enough to attend such an intimate GN’R gig. Walking into the club and seeing people bowling at about 10 or so lanes at one side of the venue was a bit surreal. Was this really happening?     Facebook: Adrian Belew In the wake of some big news from Nine Inch Nails , including a new single, details of a new album and the announcement of a North American tour, yet another member of the revamped industrial giants has announced his departure from the band. Guitarist Adrian Belew, who contributed to ‘The Downward Spiral,’ ‘The Fragile’ and ‘Ghosts I-IV,’ just became the latest member of the new NIN lineup to take his leave from the group. Belew, of course, was the longtime frontman for iconic prog act King Crimson , also has also worked with Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Porcupine Tree + many others.

    Metallica’s Robert Trujillo + James Hetfield Talk Orion Music + More Festival at Press Conference

    Photo by Anne Erickson Metallica ‘s Orion Music + More festival takes place at Detroit’s Belle Isle this coming weekend (June 8 + 9), and frontman James Hetfield and bass player Robert Trujillo are already in town, taking in the Motor City. Yesterday (June 6), the singer and bass player joined Kyle “Gumby” Gunter and Hiran Deraniyagala of Detroit-based metal band Battlecross and others at a press conference in advance of the event. Loudwire was in attendance at the press conference, and the Metallica members talked about what they plan to play out at the festival (although they’re keeping it spontaneous), what they hope to accomplish from this year’s Orion fest (admitting it’s not making them any money) and how Hetfield’s kids are getting him into electronic music.     Marilyn Manson Reaches Out to Michael Jackson's Daughter Paris After Apparent Suicide Attempt

    Cooking Vinyl Marilyn Manson is a self-proclaimed poster boy for all things society fears, but all those who pay close attention understand that Manson is a man of heart. Following the apparent suicide attempt of late singer Michael Jackson’s 15-year-old daughter Paris, Manson reached out to the teen, offering her well-wishes and generosity. Manson has been connected to far too many negative news reports throughout his career, with the singer claiming to have been blamed for a grand total of 36 school shootings during a recent interview with Larry King. Early in the morning of June 5, Paris Jackson cut her wrists with a meat cleaver, swallowed a number of pills and left a suicide note. Reasons for the attempt have been attributed to stress in school, boy trouble, the untimely death of her father, an upcoming court appearance regarding Michael Jackson’s death and not being allowed to attend a Marilyn Manson concert.
